Paysumo.io is operated by the Paysumo Group, a payment services provider focused on card acquiring, local payment methods, over-the-counter conversion and banking-as-a-service infrastructure. Our registered office and principal place of business are disclosed in your merchant agreement and on file with the relevant regulatory authorities.
If you are unsure which Paysumo entity you are contracting with, please refer to your executed agreement or contact our compliance team.
Money services business registration
Paysumo is registered as a money services business (MSB) with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC). Our MSB registration number is N300000942. Our registered office is located at 20 Bay Street, 11th Floor, Toronto, Ontario Canada M5J 2N8.
Our MSB registration covers money transfer, foreign exchange dealing and related payment services as permitted by applicable Canadian law. Registration with FINTRAC is not a licence, endorsement, approval or recommendation of Paysumo, its services or its business practices by FINTRAC or the Government of Canada.
Registration as an MSB does not mean Paysumo is a bank, deposit-taking institution or investment firm. Customer funds are held in segregated accounts with regulated financial institution partners and are not Paysumo operating funds.
Services we provide
Our services include payment processing, merchant acquiring, payouts, OTC conversion between supported fiat and digital assets, and banking-as-a-service facilities delivered through regulated partners. Service availability, settlement timing and pricing are subject to the terms of your specific merchant agreement and to applicable law.
Where third-party networks, schemes or banks are used to complete a transaction, their terms and operating rules also apply.
Not a bank or deposit-taker
SumoBank and related banking services are provided as a technology and compliance layer on top of regulated banking partners. We do not take deposits, issue loans or provide deposit insurance. Any account balances or funds are held by or through our regulated banking partners in accordance with their terms and the applicable segregation framework.
Geographic availability
Our services are offered only in jurisdictions where it is lawful to do so. We reserve the right to decline or restrict services in any jurisdiction, and we do not solicit business where payment processing or related activities are prohibited.
